This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and protection of your information when you use our mobile application, Bloom, a pregnancy week tracker available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
By using Bloom, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our application. Your pregnancy is deeply personal, and we have built Bloom so that your information stays on your device and under your control.
Bloom does not collect, transmit, or store your personal or health information on any server. Everything you enter — your due date, weeks, kick and contraction sessions, weight, symptoms, mood, appointments, checklists, journal notes, and bump photos — is stored only locally on your device. There is no account and no sign-in. We never receive, see, sell, or share your pregnancy data.
Because your pregnancy data never leaves your device, there is no personal information for us to use or process. The app uses the dates and entries you provide solely on your device to calculate your current week, show development content, draw your charts, and send the reminders you choose to enable.
Bloom is free and is supported by ads shown on content screens (such as the weekly development pages). Ads are never shown on the kick counter, contraction timer, symptom and mood log, the privacy screen, or your journal photos.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may access a device advertising identifier. Bloom does not pass your pregnancy, health, or personal data to ad requests. You can learn how Google uses this information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings.
We do not share your pregnancy or health data with anyone, because we never collect it — it stays on your device. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which handles advertising as described above. You control your own backup: any export you create is saved by you, to a location you choose. We never hold a copy.
The security of your data is of utmost importance to us. Your information is stored locally on your device using your device's storage. Because nothing is uploaded to us, there is no server-side copy of your data to be breached. We are committed to keeping Bloom a safe and private place to record your pregnancy.
Since we do not collect any user data, we do not retain any personal information on external servers. All application data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time using the in-app delete-all option in the Privacy & Data screen, or by uninstalling the application.
Bloom is an informational and educational tool. It is not medical advice and not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional care. Always follow the guidance of your healthcare provider regarding your pregnancy, movement counting, contractions, and any symptoms.
Our application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
