At Echo, we prioritize your privacy and data security. We do not collect any personal data from our users, and we do not require an account. All of your recordings, transcripts, markers, notes, folders, tags, and settings are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server. Audio recording and speech-to-text transcription both happen entirely on your device — your audio and your transcripts never leave your phone.

Since we do not collect any user data, there is no information for us to use or process. The app operates entirely offline for its core features — recording, transcription, editing, search, and playback all work without any internet connection and without sending data anywhere.

We do not share any of your recordings, transcripts, or other content with third parties, because we do not collect or have access to that data. The only third-party data flow is the advertising identifier handled by Google AdMob, described in the Advertising section below; we never receive, store, or share it ourselves.

Echo is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a non-personal advertising identifier from your device to deliver ads, frequency capping, and aggregate measurement. This data is handled by Google in accordance with the Google AdMob Privacy Policy. The app itself does not receive, store, or share this identifier, and ads are never shown during an active recording, during playback, or over your transcript. You can reset or limit ad tracking from your device's system settings at any time.

The security of your data is of utmost importance to us. Although we do not collect any personal data, we employ stringent security measures to protect any information processed through our application. All data is stored locally on your device using your device's local storage. We are committed to maintaining a secure environment for all users.

Since we do not collect any user data, we do not retain any personal information on external servers. All application data — including your audio files and transcripts — is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time within the app or by uninstalling the application.

Our application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can take steps to remove such information.

We are dedicated to complying with the Play Families Policy. This means our app is designed to be family-friendly and safe for all users. We ensure that our app content is appropriate and adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Play Families Policy.
