Privacy Policy

We do not collect any personal data. Memora has no account system and nothing to sign in to. Your diary entries, entry titles, photos you add, journals, moods, activities, tags, streaks, search history, reminder time, the prompt packs and themes you have kept, and app settings are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server.

Everything you write stays on your device. Your entries are never uploaded, never used to train anything, and never read by us — we have no way to see them. They are never included in analytics of any kind: the app deliberately keeps entry text away from any reporting boundary. Your writing is deleted when you delete the entry or uninstall the app.

You can add photos to an entry. Memora opens your phone's own photo picker, and only the photos you choose are shared with the app; Memora cannot see the rest of your library and never uses the camera. Each chosen photo is copied into Memora's private storage on your device, stays there, and is never uploaded. A photo is removed when you delete it from the entry, delete the entry, or uninstall the app.

Tonight's prompt is picked on your device from prompt packs that ship inside the app. Memora does not send your entries anywhere to choose or write prompts, and it uses no AI service.

The nightly reminder is optional and off until you turn it on. Notification permission is asked only when you turn the switch on. The reminder is scheduled by your phone's operating system at the time you choose; no server is involved, and the notification never contains anything you wrote.

If you add a Memora widget to your home screen, it can show tonight's prompt, mood buttons that open a check-in, your streak, or a note that a memory is waiting. Widgets never show what you wrote, because a home screen can be seen by anyone holding your phone. The widget's content is passed from the app to the widget on your device only.

Memora lets you log a mood and the activities of your day, and shows you patterns drawn from them — mood trends, mood by day of the week, the activities that show up on your better days, and a year-in-pixels view. These values are stored only on your device and are used solely to draw the charts you see inside the app. Memora is a self-reflection tool, not a health or medical app: it reports what you logged and does not diagnose, treat, or give advice.

Memora does not read from or write to Apple Health, Google Fit, or any other health platform. It does not request access to any health data and collects no biometric information.

You can lock Memora with a PIN or with your device biometrics. Biometric verification is performed entirely by your operating system — Memora never receives, stores or transmits your fingerprint or face data, only whether your device reported a successful unlock. Your PIN is stored in the platform's own secure storage on your device.

Because we do not collect any user data, there is no information for us to use or process. Your diary works entirely offline. An internet connection is used only to display advertisements through Google AdMob, to process a purchase through Google Play, and for Google Play's in-app update and review prompts.

We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any. Your diary remains on your device and under your control.

Memora displays advertisements through Google AdMob and its mediation partners Unity Ads, ironSource (Unity LevelPlay) and Liftoff (Vungle). These companies may use your device's advertising identifier to serve and measure ads, subject to your consent choices: where your region requires consent (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) Google's consent form asks you before any ad is requested, in US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data, and you can change your choice at any time from Ad privacy choices in the app. You can reset your advertising identifier at any time through your device settings. We do not share any of your personal data with these companies — only the limited data automatically collected by their SDKs, as described in their privacy policies: Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy), Unity Ads and ironSource (https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy) and Liftoff (https://liftoff.ai/privacy-policy/). Ads are never shown while you are writing, while you are reading an entry, next to an unopened memory, on the lock screen, during setup or on the Memora Pro screen. A full-screen ad may appear at a natural break, for example after you leave an entry you saved, after an export finishes or when you leave Year in Pixels, and never over the page you are writing. Some extras can be kept by choosing to watch a short video; watching is always your choice.

Memora Pro is an optional one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never see your card or payment details, and receive only Google Play's confirmation that the purchase was made, which the app stores on your device to unlock Pro.

Memora uses Google Play's in-app update feature to tell you when a new version is available, and Google Play's review prompt to ask, now and then, whether you would like to rate the app. Both are handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy; we receive no information about you from either.

You can export your diary at any time as a PDF, as Markdown or as JSON, or take a full backup file that includes your photos. Memora Pro can protect a backup with a password. A file is written only when you tap export, and it goes wherever you choose to send it. We never receive a copy.

You can restore a Memora backup file, for example on a new phone. Memora reads only the file you pick, shows you what it contains, and writes nothing until you confirm whether to add it to your diary or replace everything. The file is read on your device and is never uploaded.

Although we do not collect any personal data, we take the security of anything processed by the application seriously. All application data is stored locally on your device using the platform's own storage protections. Please note that the in-app lock protects access to the app's interface and hides its contents in the app switcher; it is a privacy control rather than at-rest encryption of the underlying database.

Since we do not collect any user data, we retain no personal information on external servers. All application data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time from within the app or by uninstalling the application.

Our application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
