Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This page explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Welcome to Memora: Diary with Lock. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and protection of your information when you use our mobile application, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

By using Memora, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our application.

We do not collect any personal data. Memora has no account system and nothing to sign in to. Your diary entries, entry titles, moods, activities, tags, streaks, search history and app settings are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server.

Everything you write stays on your device. Your entries are never uploaded, never used to train anything, and never read by us — we have no way to see them. They are never included in analytics of any kind: the app deliberately keeps entry text away from any reporting boundary. Your writing is deleted when you delete the entry or uninstall the app.

Memora lets you log a mood and the activities of your day, and shows you patterns drawn from them — mood trends, day-of-week patterns and a year-in-pixels view. These values are stored only on your device and are used solely to draw the charts you see inside the app. Memora is a self-reflection tool, not a health or medical app: it reports what you logged and does not diagnose, treat, or give advice.

Memora does not read from or write to Apple Health, Google Fit, or any other health platform. It does not request access to any health data and collects no biometric information.

You can lock Memora with a PIN or with your device biometrics. Biometric verification is performed entirely by your operating system — Memora never receives, stores or transmits your fingerprint or face data, only whether your device reported a successful unlock. Your PIN is stored in the platform's own secure storage on your device.

Because we do not collect any user data, there is no information for us to use or process. The application works entirely offline. An internet connection is used only to display advertisements through Google AdMob.

We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any. Your diary remains on your device and under your control.

Memora displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve non-personalized ads. You can reset your advertising identifier at any time through your device settings. We do not share any of your personal data with AdMob — only the limited data automatically collected by the AdMob SDK, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Ads are never shown while you are writing, while you are reading an entry, on an unopened memory, on the lock screen, or for several minutes after you save something.

You can export your complete diary at any time as a PDF, as Markdown or as JSON, or take a single full backup file — complete, never trimmed. The file is written only when you tap export, and it goes wherever you choose to send it. We never receive a copy.

Although we do not collect any personal data, we take the security of anything processed by the application seriously. All application data is stored locally on your device using the platform's own storage protections. Please note that the in-app lock protects access to the app's interface and hides its contents in the app switcher; it is a privacy control rather than at-rest encryption of the underlying database.

Since we do not collect any user data, we retain no personal information on external servers. All application data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time from within the app or by uninstalling the application.

Our application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
