Privacy Policy

Micro Habit does not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your personal data on our own servers. Your habits, check-ins, notes, categories, reminders and settings are stored only in a database on your device and are never transmitted to us. Micro Habit shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects some data directly from the app, and the optional Premium purchase is handled by Google Play, as described below.

Micro Habit is free and shows ads: banners, sponsored cards, full-screen ads at natural breaks or when you return to the app, and a video you can choose to watch to unlock Premium features for 24 hours. Premium removes all ads. To serve, measure and personalize ads and to prevent fraud, Google AdMob and its mediation partners Unity Ads, ironSource (Unity LevelPlay) and Liftoff (Vungle) collect data from your device, including your device advertising identifier, your IP address (from which an approximate location may be derived), your interactions with the app and its ads, and diagnostic information; this data is encrypted in transit. Ads may be personalized only as your choices allow: where your region requires consent (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) you are asked first, and in US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings. We do not receive your personal data, so there is no information for us to use or process. Habit tracking, streaks, insights, achievements and reminders all work entirely on your device; an internet connection is used only for ads and the Premium purchase. If you send us feedback from the app, your email app sends us your message, and we use it only to reply to you and improve the app.

We do not sell or share your personal data ourselves. Payments for Premium are processed by Google Play; we do not receive your payment details, and your Premium status is stored on your device. When you export a backup or a CSV file, the file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to save or send it.

Your habit data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's own security. Data sent to our advertising partners and to Google Play is encrypted in transit. Keep exported backup files somewhere you trust, as they contain your habit history.

We do not retain any personal information on our own servers, except feedback you email us, which we keep only as long as needed to reply. All app data stays on your device until you delete it in the app (Settings › Backup & data › Delete all data) or uninstall the app. Data collected by Google AdMob and its partners is retained according to their privacy policies.

Our application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can take steps to remove such information.

Micro Habit is not designed for children and is not part of the Google Play Families program. Its ads are served under Google Play's advertising policies.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
