Privacy Policy

At TidyFiles, we prioritize your privacy and data security. To find junk, large and duplicate files, TidyFiles reads the files, photos and media on your device and, on Android, the list of installed apps — all of this happens on your device. File contents, file names, scan results, the recycle bin and your settings are never uploaded or sent to us, and the app needs no account. The only data that leaves your device is what the advertising service described below needs to work.

TidyFiles shows ads served by Google AdMob, which keeps the app free. To deliver, measure and limit ads (for example frequency capping and fraud prevention), Google may collect information from your device such as its advertising ID, IP address, device type, approximate location and how you interact with ads; it never receives your files or scan results. On iOS, TidyFiles requests non-personalized ads and does not ask to track you across other apps. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choice before any ad is requested, and you can change it in Settings. We do not sell or share your files or scan results with anyone. The only third-party service in the app is Google AdMob with Google's User Messaging Platform (ads and ad consent, see above), each under its own privacy policy. Storage and photo permissions are used only to scan and clean files on your device, and only after you grant them.

The security of your data is of utmost importance to us. Scan results and settings are kept in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot access. Files you delete in TidyFiles go to its recycle bin first, so you can restore them before they are removed for good.

Since we do not collect any user data, we do not retain any personal information on external servers. All application data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time through the app settings or by uninstalling the application.

Our application is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
