Privacy Policy

We do not collect any personal information. Everything the app records about you — which puzzles you have finished, your progress in each pack, the days stamped on your calendar, your bonus-word total, the highlighter sets you have earned, and your settings including print size — is stored only on your device. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else. There is no account to create and no profile to fill in.

Every puzzle is generated on your device. Nothing is downloaded to play, and the daily puzzle is produced from the calendar date rather than fetched from a server, which is why every player gets the same one without any of you contacting us. The app works completely offline; it uses the internet only to show ads and, on Android, to reach Google Play for the optional Pro purchase.

Word Search Classic is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To serve, measure and personalize ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob and its mediation partners Unity Ads, ironSource (Unity LevelPlay) and Liftoff (Vungle) collect data from your device, including your device advertising identifier, your IP address (from which an approximate location may be derived), your interactions with the app and its ads, and diagnostic information; this data is encrypted in transit and handled by each company under its own privacy policy. The app itself does not receive, store or share any of it. Where your region requires consent (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google's consent message asks you before any ad is requested, and in US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data; you can change these choices at any time from Me → Privacy choices in the app. On iOS the app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, so ads there are not personalized. If you buy Pro on Android, no ads are shown or requested. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings. On Android, an optional one-time Pro purchase removes the ads. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; we never receive your payment details or your account. The app keeps only a note on your device that Pro is active, and asks Google Play to restore it if you reinstall. There are no purchases in the iOS version.

Word Search Classic contains no user-generated content and no chat. Every ad request is limited to content Google rates G (suitable for general audiences, including families). The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Me → Back up progress turns your progress into plain text on your device and hands it to your phone's share sheet, so it goes only where you choose to send it, for example your own email or notes. It never passes through us, and we cannot read it. Me → Restore from a backup reads text you paste back in; nothing is downloaded.

We do not share user data with third parties, because we do not collect any. The only information leaving your device is what the Google AdMob SDK and its mediation partners collect, as described in the Advertising section above, and, if you buy Pro on Android, what Google Play handles for that purchase.

Your progress is stored in the app's private storage on your device, protected by your device's own operating-system protections. Because nothing is sent to a server, there is no copy of your data anywhere for us to lose.

Uninstalling the app removes everything it has stored, except any backup you sent yourself, which stays wherever you put it. You can also reset or delete the advertising identifier in your device's system settings, and change your ad consent choices from Me → Privacy choices. Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to make.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Material changes will be reflected here before the version of the app they apply to is released.
